Vote for your favourite team in the Girls Go STEM Audience Choice Awards 2026 by 18 November, 14:00 CET: The team's solution: A.U.R.A. (Autonomous Unit for Redundant Autopassivation) is a passive mechanical module that reduces the risk of space debris by automatically disconnecting a failed satellite's battery and venting remaining propellant after 90 days without communication. The resettable timer requires no continuous electrical power and helps prevent debris-producing explosions while supporting safer end-of-life spacecraft passivation. Video by YouTube channel.
